Buried deep in Barcelona's lively Eixample district, this stylish apartment will have you right in the thick of things. Set just off Paseo de Gracia street, loved for its Gaudí architecture, you'll find Casa Batlló and Casa Milà no more than ten minutes' walk from your front door. If you're looking to do some shopping in the city, Las Ramblas street is eight minutes away on foot, while bustling Boqueria Food Market is less than fifteen minutes' walk from home. Location-wise you really couldn't be better placed here. When – weary from exploring all of the sights, shopping, and only after you've picked up some local produce – you do eventually return home, it's a glamorous affair, thanks to the design by a coveted interior architect. While velvet furnishings, parquet floors, and chic decor are par for the course these days – lovely features nonetheless – the vibrant graffiti-style artwork, dazzling full-size chandeliers and striking wardrobe design really caught our home critic's discerning eye. There's also an influx of marble, from the kitchen backsplash to the grand dining table, that we particularly love. Host a dinner party for your guests, knowing there's plenty of space to spill out and unwind. Last but certainly not least, our favourite aspect of this home is the direct access to your private rooftop sun terrace, complete with loungers and a pergola, a plunge pool and stunning skyline views across the city. We can think of no better place for early-evening sundowners or simply soaking up the rays on leisurely days spent relaxing at home.
